Welcome to GCAA Soccer!
We seek to provide individuals and families in our communities the opportunities, conditions, and guidance to reach their full potential; develop physical, emotional, social, and intellectual wellness; build character, self-esteem, coping skills, critical thinking, teamwork, leadership, discipline, and endurance. We depend on the generosity and partnership of community members to help us achieve these objectives.

GCAA Recreation Soccer offers programs for kids aged 3-18. The 4U thru 8U age divisions are co-ed teams, have group practices once a week for approximately one hour, and has games on Saturdays that are refereed by coaches. Please note the the 4U age division does not have Saturday games.
The 10U, 12U, 14U, and 18U ages divisions are typically boy or girl teams, but can be co-ed if we do not have enough players to make separate teams. They practice once a week, and have games on Saturdays that are refereed by certified referees. The 10U thru 18U age divisions can require some local travel. Learn More!

The Academy program is a player development program for committed young soccer players looking to advance to the next level of competitive play. At this level, we focus on individual player development with emphasis on technical skills and tactical knowledge. All players rotate positions and learn skills associated with these positions. Academy offers a positive, engaging, and rewarding experience that is not overtly focused on results (wins vs. losses). The idea is that we focus on developing the player and putting them in the best training situations with our best coaches, for a faster rate of growth within the game.
This program structure is endorsed by US Youth Soccer (USYS) and the North Carolina Youth Soccer Association (NCYSA).
Academy teams will generally have two practice sessions per week, lasting 1 hour and 15 minutes each. Academy Soccer participants use the same Adidas uniform kit that GCAA Travel Soccer program uses. Academy Teams participate in the NCYSA Youth Academy Showcase at the end of every Fall and Spring season.
Assessments for Academy Soccer are held in May for the Fall season, with Supplemental Assessment held (if needed) in November/December for the Spring season. Learn More!
